​The SBS Group management team is responsible for the management of SBS Group and its Partner Network. They cultivate our strong culture, and work to help our team scale, grow and succeed as a leading Microsoft Gold Partner and Microsoft Master VAR.

James Bowman

​president and ceo

As the President and CEO of SBS Group, Jim brings more than 30 years of experience in the business software industry. He has helped thousands of businesses leverage technology to improve revenue and lower costs. Since joining SBS Group in 2003, he has grown the organization from 5 employees to more than 250 in 38 regional offices.

Jim has been instrumental in developing programs that have earned the company recognition as a Best Place to Work, Microsoft’s Worldwide Partner of the Year, and Microsoft’s Presidents Club designation. He currently serves as a member of Microsoft’s Partner and Product Advisory Council, providing key input to the direction of Microsoft’s business solutions. He is also an active member of Vistage International and the Association for Corporate Growth. In 2016 Jim was named EY Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist. A graduate of Rider University, he holds a B.S. Degree in Accounting and Marketing. In addition to his professional work, he is an active volunteer with Boy Scouts of America and other local charitable organizations.​


​Joseph Longo

Prior to joining SBS Group in 2008, Joe started his professional career as a CPA/auditor in public accounting. While with a public accounting firm he started a consulting practice that focused on the installation and implementation of computer based accounting packages. In 1992, Joe ventured out to start his own practice and later became a partner in Business Micro Solutions (BMS) as a result of a merger in 1994. 

Under Joe's leadership, BMS grew from approximately 10 to 70 people and led the VAR industry in most key performance indicators, including profitability, employee retention, customer service, software sales and total revenues. BMS (which was ultimately acquired by ePartners) installed, implemented and supported business management systems including Dynamics SL and Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) for over 800 small to mid-sized businesses.


David Drouin

​EVP of Professional services

David left his own consulting practice to join SBS Group in 2006 functioning as Managing Director of the Mid-Atlantic Region and Executive Vice President of Finance prior to assuming his current role. After graduating from the Wharton School of Business with a B.S. in Accounting and Economics, he began a twenty year career in public accounting, including five years as a partner, and established the systems advisory practice for his firm and managed it as partner-in-charge.  

In addition to his business and accounting background, David has strong technical skills which he has leveraged in helping hundreds of small businesses and large enterprises evaluate and implement ERP systems in his nearly 30 years in the space.
